PMHS began operations in 1995 constructing its first hotel in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Bold contrarians, the founders were among the first to recognize the eminent rebound of the Mid-Atlantic hospitality industry. More than two years before shovels entered the ground, the founders entrusted one another to complete several years of essential behind-the-scenes work.

How Our Founders Got Together

Parlaying superior schooling, strong work ethic, relevant professional experience, and successful families into a tight-knit team, the founding partners formed PMHS. Before conceiving PMHS these founders came together through team athletics alliances, fostering friendship, team success and mutual respect.

  • At Cornell University, two of the company founders played on the hard-driving, Ivy-League championship football team.
  • During their run for the championship, these two teammates mapped a rough business plan that would have them developing commercial real estate assets in the Mid-Atlantic region inside of ten (10) years from graduation.
  • Upon graduation, it came to pass that the third member of the founding group hired one of the two former teammates. With 10 years of experience and insight already behind him, his addition was an ideal fit for starting-up the organization in half the initially planned time.
