CORPORATE TEAM
Joseph Bojanowski:
Executive Vice President PMHS
Mr. Bojanowski comes to PMHS with over 18 years
of management experience in the hospitality industry including extensive
experience in Food & Beverage, Rooms Division Operations, Sales
and Marketing, Openings and Renovations.
Joining the company in 1997, just after the opening
of the first hotel, Mr. Bojanowski has played a critical role in
the rapid growth of the company. Working closely with the Principals
of PMHS, he has been instrumental in creating the performance driven
work culture of the company.
Mr. Bojanowski has personally taken charge of
opening each PMHS managed entity after the first hotel. Serving
as an on-site General Manger, Vice President - New Hotel Openings
and now Executive Vice President of Operations, Mr. Bojanowski has
intimate knowledge of all markets in which PMHS hotels compete.
An in-depth understanding of all areas of hotel
operations, corporate apartment operations, administration, sales
and marketing has ensured that all new hotels under his leadership
were set on the path of success both in terms of performing well
above the competitive set in revenue but also maintaining the hotel
asset at the highest level.
Under his hands on leadership and oversight, the
Hotel Operations Division of PMHS has provided key support and direction
for every aspect of hotel development and management.
Among the accomplishments of the PMHS managed
hotels during his tenure have been:
- Top Ten Hotel in the Embassy Suites 2002,
2003 and 2004, Best Hotel Opening Embassy Suites chain 2003,
- Ten Gold Awards from Choice Hotels International
from 1997 –2004,
- Brand Champion Award from Springhill Suites
by Marriott in 2003,
- HSMAI Platinum Award for Advertising Campaign
2003,
- Two HSMAI Gold Awards in 2004,
- Best Place to Work – Tourism and Gaming
2002 – 2005 for the State of Delaware,
- Top Fifty Places to Work (the only hotel)
2003 State of Massachusetts,
- Statewide Employer of the Year 2004 –
Governor’s Committee for Employment of People with Disabilities,
and a
- Commendation from the Mexican Embassy for
the company's English as a Second Language program.
Mr. Bojanowski continues to play a vital role
in all new projects. His knowledge of and background in hotel operations
are essential in consulting with the architects and designers concerning
design criteria, requirements, and layouts of all functioning areas
of the hotel. He is also responsible for the selection and preparation
of designs for all furnishings and directing the specification of
all operating equipment, and operating supplies.
His uncompromising attention to detail and ability
to execute has driven the product and service focus that deliver
durable income streams and short ramp up periods. Each of our hotels
has achieved a stabilized RevPAR index of over 100% in months six
through twelve.
Prior to joining PMHS, Mr. Bojanowski worked with
two of the industry's leading hotel companies - Doubletree Hotels
& Winegardner Hammons. In ten years with these companies, Joseph
served on executive committees of resorts, conference centers, and
full-service airport and university hotels. Noteworthy, his work
experiences embody a broad geographic area of the U.S. with assignments
in the northeast, mid-west, and southeast markets along with the
mid-Atlantic region.
A graduate of the University of Arizona with professional
certifications from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration,
Joseph directs the operation of PMHS’ award winning portfolio
of hotels and corporate apartments working with Marriott, Hilton,
Leading Hotels of the World and Choice Hotels franchise affiliates.
As a past Director of the Delaware Hotel and Lodging Association,
Mr. Bojanowski remains actively involved in numerous industry related
associations and organizations.
